Ooooh, actually. I hadn't thought about the self-reflection bit. That's really good. Because, you know, it plays into his whole personal turmoil about his dad, and whether or not he can even call himself a doctor anymore after what he did. Frankly, I'm convinced he spent the rest of his life trying to atone for it. Maybe that's why Spock said he had a "martyr complex". Poor Bones.
Ah I've been working at a summer camp over at the Pullen Arts Center, so I've been close to campus. The hours are long, and the kids can be a hassle on occasion but they can also be funny and cute. Plus I get to teach them about art so I can't go wrong there. How about you, how's summer been treating you ?
Thank you so much! I'm glad it came out well. I didn't have a strong reference for him, so I was really worried that he'd look strange. I think the water color effect has to do with the texture I use (and am deeply in love with, lol). I can't decide whether or not to use it on the final piece.
You got his eyes and eyebrows down very well; they're sort of triangular shaped, it's hard to describe, but I'm pretty amazed at how effing well you few him without a lot of reference! Always nice when that happens. And I'd say use the texture in the final piece, it looks cool
Thanks! His eyebrows! Yes. They're one of the things I love about him. Both their shape, and the way he uses them. XP For some reason, there are very few high-angle shots of the characters. I'm very glad it came out well, as it's usually hit-or-miss with me. Texture it is!
